The GOP's presidential candidate darling, Mitt Romney hasn't held a job since 2008, but he seems to have a lot to say about employed people taking vacations.
This Sunday, Romney called into Chicago's WLS-AM where he dropped these jewels on President Obama's much talked about summer vacation. “If I were president today, I wouldn’t be looking to go spend 10 days on Martha’s Vineyard." This coming from a man worth an estimated $264 million and hasn't been employed since 2008. There is no way he's using unemployment checks to quadruple his $12 million dollar home in California. Maybe this is his attempt at launching a own personal stimulus package to create construction jobs.
Mitt Romney has literally been running for president for 5 years. Five. That’s not exactly "working” so of course he can't fathom why our president needs a vacation.
Since taking office, President Obama has taken 61 days of vacation. Currently, the Obama family is currently spending 10 days at an estate in Martha’s Vineyard reading and relaxing as much as a President can. President George W. Bush was often criticized for spending too much time at his Crawford, Texas ranch clearing playing cowboys and Indians. During his two terms, President Bush spent nearly one full year on vacation. When comparing 365 days to 10, really there is no comparison.
