Putting an end to the existing delay in the admission process, the Uttar Pradesh Medical Education Department has issued a fresh notification stating that the CPAT 2016 begins on October 26. The counseling is to allocate medical seats in UP through Combined Pre-Ayush Test (CPAT) 2016. The notice was issued late night on Sunday. The CPAT 2016 was held on September 25 and the results announced at the beginning of this month.
The delay was quite long with the counseling initially scheduled to begin on October 18 got postponed. With the students’ interest in mind, the Director General of Medical Education finally released the schedule of CPAT counseling through its official website. Director General Prof. Dr. V.N. Tripathi said, “The government and private colleges (Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy) who have got the approval will be a part of the admission process.”
The candidates who secured a rank from 1 to 600 in the CPAT 2016 can participate on the first day of counseling i.e. October 2. The candidates who secured a rank from 601 to 3000 will have to participate on the second day of counseling i.e. October 27. The remaining candidates will attend on October 28. The candidates will have to register one day prior to the Counseling and will have to report at Counseling Center – TeleMedicine Center, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
Registrations are open from 10 am to 5 pm, October 25h to October 27th. The candidates must take along documents for verification. After successful verification of documents, the counseling fee must be deposited. The candidates will be given a registration slip to appear for the counseling. The participating candidates will have to deposit Rs. 500 as counseling fee. The security fee for government colleges is Rs. 5,000 and for private colleges is Rs. 20,000 deposited through demand draft. The fee is non-refundable. The security fee will be adjusted in the balance fee or will be refunded after the completion of the counseling process.
