Students Registrations Shortened by 8 Lakh for UP Board Exams 2017

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has invited all the students pursuing class 10 and Intermediate to apply for the board examinations. All the ambitious candidates who are seeking to pass class 10 and class 12 exams have used for the exams on the official web portal of UP board. For the current academic year, 2016-17, a huge number of students have registered for the UP Board Exams 2017. The registrations for these exams have diminished for this year 2017 compared to the previous years.

Huge No.of Applications Received from Students

This year, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has received less number of applications or registrations. The number of registrations has come down by eight lakh compared to the previous year. As per the latest reports, the board of education in the state of Uttar Pradesh have received only 60 lakh applications. On the whole, 60, 10,533 students have registered wherein 34, 04,853 application forms received from Class X students while 26, 25,680 forms received from Intermediate pursuing students.

In the year 2016, a total of 68, 21,869 students have applied for the board exams wherein 37, 49,977 are from 10th class and 30, 71,892 are from class 12 candidates. The board has witnessed a huge difference in receiving applications from the 10th and intermediate students. In the previous year, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has extended the dates for the submission of application requests from August 10 to September 22 due to the floods in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of India.

After the extension of the application form submission, there is a drastic change in receiving applications from the applicants. Some 1.66 lakh students additionally applied for the examinations after the date extension from 21st August to 22nd September. The board is taking essential steps in verifying the applications of all the students without witnessing any fake applications.
