Reliance Jio to Launch Broadband and DTH Service
The entire telecom industry felt threatened with the new launch of Reliance Jio’s low-cost 4G services. Even the big giants like Bharti Airtel ad Idea came up with latest low-cost offers to win back their customers and retain them. Reliance Jio who is all set on pulling down records with its latest 4G services. Looks like this is just the beginning and more is there to come. After the incumbent 4G network operators, Relaince Jio is now setting eyes on the DTH (Direct to home) as well as the broadband services. As of now the launch has not given any set time but Reliance Jio is currently working on very fast broadband services offers with up to 1Gbps speed and a set-top-box to go with it with a host of HD channels. In the month gone by, BGR India paid a visit to Reliance Jio Experience Centre in order to get a first look and first experience of some of the services the Reliance Company has in hand and may be launched soon.
Jio’s Fiber To The Home
Reliance Jio is completely full on the groundwork for nearly half of the decade and is now laying down fiber optic cables all across the major cities in the country. Reliance Jio is all set to offer the (FTTH) Fiber To The Home. Now with this service Reliance promises speeds up to 1Gbps. While the company has already started a trial pilot program in Mumbai as well as Delhi, this is not the first time Reliance Jio plans like FTTH. Mukesh Ambani earlier mentioned during the Reliance Jio 4G-launch at the beginning.
Jio’s Connected Home
Users will now be able to use the same connection for a connected home lifestyle. This way a customer will have multiple TV streaming on various devices. Again there is an app MediaShare where the customer can stream on one device later can continue it on another. Other services that Reliance Jio is also currently working on are Chromecast Audio, and other smart home devices like security cameras, smart locks, etc. another is a device that provides broadband over power lines for extending internet range connectivity.
