The veteran actress Amala Akkineni has earlier worked in various film industries like Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam. Her Kannada debut was with the famous star Kamal Hassan in Pushpaka Vimana. In 1991 she debuted in Malayalam with Suresh Gopi in the movie Ente Sooryaputhrikku. She will again mark a comeback into movies in a Malayalam movie. This movie is reportedly based on the missing case of photographer Victor George. The movie is a Murali Gopi – Arunkumar Aravind project marks the actress comeback to Mollywood.

She was a judge on the reality show called ‘Super Mom,’ in Tamil. Apart from movies, Amala is well known for her philanthropy works including animal charity. She works for animal welfare and is the co-founder of Blue Cross of Hyderabad that helps animals. Amala Akkineni has acted in over 50 movies. In 2012 she won two major awards for the movie Life is Beautiful – (i) the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actress in Telugu and (ii) the CineMAA Award for the Best Outstanding Actress. In her Malayalam movie Ulladakkam, Amala won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Malayalam.

This veteran actress will reportedly play a lawyer in her comeback Malayalam movie. This movie titled C/O Saira Banu makes her return to acting after 2 decades. Her latest Malayalam flick was the movie Ulladakkam starring Mohan Lal in 1991. The beautiful actress was last seen as the character ‘Rohini’ in the 2015 Box Office Hit Humari Adhoori Kahani till date. Amala Akkineni will essay the role of a lawyer in this movie Annie John Tharavadi. The veteran actress will act alongside Manju Warrier who essays the role of the protagonist Saira Banu as per the film unit source.
