Midnight drama: 10,000 Voter IDs Found In Karnataka

Bengaluru:

Just three days ahead of Karnataka assembly elections nearly 10,000 voter ID cards found in a Bengaluru apartment. The Karnataka Election commission has ordered an inquiry on this incidents. The Election commission said the officials have recovered 9,746 Electors Photo Identity Cards from an apartment in Jalahalli area that comes under the Raja Rajeshwari Nagar constituency of Bengaluru. Interestingly both parties BJP and Congress have made a serious allegation against each other on who did this conspiracy.

While the political sparring at midnight the BJP is demanding the cancellation of voting in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar constituency before the voting starts on Saturday.

Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer Sanjiv Kumar said that they have also found five laptops and one printer in the apartment. He also said the investigation is going on and we have found three observes on the spot. On the initial investigation, these voter ID cards that we found are actually genuine. But the Significance of counterfoils can only be verified after the due investigation. He also said FIR will be filed and the action will be taken once the truth comes out of the investigation.

BJP and Congress made allegations against each other:

BJP accusing Congress said the apartment where nearly 10,000 voter ID cards found was linked to a Congress lawmaker. The Congress hit back accusing the BJP of enacting a “drama” of raiding an apartment which was belonging to a BJP leaderManjula Nanjamari. She has rented this apartment to her son  Mr Rakesh. He has contested in the 2015 BBMP Elections from BJP party.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar wrote in a twitter this is the “Congress conspiracy to rig election in the face of their imminent defeat.” Prakash Javadekar is also the party’s in-charge for Karnataka Assembly elections.

Raja Rajeshwari Nagar has about  4.71 lakh voters. It is one of the major constituencies in Bengaluru. The polling will start in Karnataka on May 12. The results will be declared on May 15.

Non-bailable warrant against AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu

A Maharashtra local court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and 15 others. A local court in Maharashtra has ordered the police to arrest AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and produce in the court by September 21. The court also asked the police to produce the other 15 members in the court by September 21.

Judicial Magistrate First Class of Dharmabad in Nanded district NR Gajbhiye directed the police to arrest AP CM on the basis of a protest in 2010 when Chandrababu Naidu and other members of the party against the construction of  Babli project across the Godavari. Naidu and other members were arrested by the police then and kept them in the Jail. Later they were released. During the time of agitation, Naidu was in opposition of United Andhra Pradesh. Naidu said it would affect the people downstream. He said if the Babli project is being constructed across the Godavari it would lead to the scarcity of water in the Telangana region.

Along with the Chandrababu Naidu, AP State Water Resources Minister, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, AP Social Welfare Minister, N Anand Babu and former MLA G Kamalakar who defected to TRS, will also be arrested in this case.

All these members under the Indian Penal Code, including assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, act endangering life or personal safety of others, criminal intimidation among others.

Responding to the news CM Chandrababu Naidu’s son and state information technology minister N Lokesh said his father other members will attend the court. Lokesh said his father even refused to take the bail when he was arrested.

Chandrababu Naidu got the information about the warrants when he was in Tirupathi to present a pair of silk vastrams on behalf of the State government to Lord Venkateswara.

Indians Abroad are Ambassadors of India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday described the Indian Abroad as the ambassadors of the Nation while he addressing the Indian community in Rwanda. He praised them and said they are rashtradoots of India. Modi said “I am delighted to interact with the Indian community in Rwanda. Currently PM Modi on five days three-nation tour. He will visit Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa.

All over the world, the Indian diaspora is making a mark. They are our ‘Rashtradoots’.” Rwandan President Paul Pagame told me that Indians contributing to Rwanda’s progress and I felt very happy after hearing this, Modi said. Soon we will form an Indian community high commission in Rwanda, Modi added. This High Commission is not only for the communication between both countries but it is also for consular, passport, visa and other services.  Narendra Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister who visited the African Nation. We are in the sixth position in economic level and very soon we will overtake France, Modi added.

Modi in Rwanda:

Modi has reached Rwanda on Monday evening. President Kagame received Modi and Kagame has arranged a ceremonial reception upon his arrival. He also hosted a hosted a state banquet dinner in honour of PM Modi. Later Modi held a wide range talks with the President Paul Kagame. They both discussed how to improve the bilateral strategic ties between both countries by strengthening g cooperation in defence, trade and agriculture sectors.

Later PM Modi will visit the Genocide Memorial and also will participate in the programme called  “Girinka”  which is also known as one cow per family. This is the programme for the national social protection programme of Rwanda. This scheme is initiated by the President  Kagame.

Once Modi finished his programmes in Rwanda he will go to Uganda. In Uganda Modi will hold some talks and meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sonia Gandhi’s Math weak: Ananth Kumar on No-Trust vote

The ruling BJP on Thursday taunting UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi by saying that her math’s weak. Parliamentary Affairs Minister  Ananth Kumar said Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s “maths weak. Kumar said, “who says we don’t have the numbers”. He also said NDA definitely wins in the no-confidence motion as the BJP government has enough numbers to get the majority outside and inside the Parliament. This no-confidence motion will be held in Lok Sabha on Friday.

Ananth Kumar said Sonia Gandhi’s math is weak and her calculations are wrong. They had calculated similarly in 1996. But we all know what happened then. Again their calculations will become wrong. You will see how Modi will get support from all the sides, he added. He also quoted the Sonia Gandhi’s statement in 1999. She said they have the support of 272 members and more are coming. But what happened then, Atal Bihari Vajpayee the BJP government was defeated with the difference of one vote. Even though the Congress party could not form the government.

The Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) move the no-confidence motion on the BJP on Wednesday. The Congress party also seems confident about the no-confidence motion. They said they will win in this motion. She said we have enough number of support to win the no-confidence motion.

Kumar said definitely we defeat the Congress in the no-confidence motion. We are also getting the support from the Shiv Sena party. NDA is expecting the support of at least 312 members to defeat the Congress in the 535-member Lok Sabha. Alone BJP has 273. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan will conduct the voting on Friday.

The opposition is ready to throw the arrows on the government on the basis of issues like mob lynching, the safety of women, Jammu and Kashmir, the plight of farmers etc.
