PM Modi meets Malaysia’s Newly-Elected PM Mahathir Mohammad

KUALA LUMPUR:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met newly-elected Malaysian counterpart, Mahathir Mohammad in Kuala Lumpur this morning. Modi has arrived in Malaysia on Thursday (Today) after a two-day visit to Indonesia. Modi was grandly received by that country officials. He met Mahathir in his office at Perdana Putra Complex, Putrajaya. Both the country leaders discussed on how to strengthen the strategic partnership. Modi congratulated the newly elected Malaysian PM, Mahathir Mohammad. He also thanked the Mahathir for his warm welcome.

Ninety-two-year-old Mahathir taken his oath as Malaysia’s prime minister on May 10. This is the first meeting between both leaders. Modi wrote on his twitter “Glad to have met Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. I thank him for the warm welcome. We had productive discussions on further cementing India-Malaysia ties.” They both discussed the ways to boost economic and cultural relations between India and Malaysia. Both country leaders are expected to discuss ways to strengthen the India-Malaysia bilateral relationship in a range of areas, including trade and investment. Modi last visited Malaysia in November 2015. In his short span of the visit in Malaysia Modi also met with Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her husband Anwar Ibrahim.

“The two leaders had a productive exchange of views on strengthening our strategic partnership. PM congratulated Dr Mahathir on assuming the post of Prime Minister of Malaysia,” External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted. Malaysia is a strategic partner and a priority country in our Act East Policy,” Kumar said. From Malaysia Modi will go to Singapore.

Singapore visit:

Modi will hold talks with his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong on Friday. On Friday Modi will deliver his speech at the 17th International Institute for Strategic Studies Shangri-La Dialogue.  He will also visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens. PM Modi also held “productive discussions” with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in his first official visit to Indonesia.

Indians Abroad are Ambassadors of India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday described the Indian Abroad as the ambassadors of the Nation while he addressing the Indian community in Rwanda. He praised them and said they are rashtradoots of India. Modi said “I am delighted to interact with the Indian community in Rwanda. Currently PM Modi on five days three-nation tour. He will visit Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa.

All over the world, the Indian diaspora is making a mark. They are our ‘Rashtradoots’.” Rwandan President Paul Pagame told me that Indians contributing to Rwanda’s progress and I felt very happy after hearing this, Modi said. Soon we will form an Indian community high commission in Rwanda, Modi added. This High Commission is not only for the communication between both countries but it is also for consular, passport, visa and other services.  Narendra Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister who visited the African Nation. We are in the sixth position in economic level and very soon we will overtake France, Modi added.

Modi in Rwanda:

Modi has reached Rwanda on Monday evening. President Kagame received Modi and Kagame has arranged a ceremonial reception upon his arrival. He also hosted a hosted a state banquet dinner in honour of PM Modi. Later Modi held a wide range talks with the President Paul Kagame. They both discussed how to improve the bilateral strategic ties between both countries by strengthening g cooperation in defence, trade and agriculture sectors.

Later PM Modi will visit the Genocide Memorial and also will participate in the programme called  “Girinka”  which is also known as one cow per family. This is the programme for the national social protection programme of Rwanda. This scheme is initiated by the President  Kagame.

Once Modi finished his programmes in Rwanda he will go to Uganda. In Uganda Modi will hold some talks and meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sonia Gandhi’s Math weak: Ananth Kumar on No-Trust vote

The ruling BJP on Thursday taunting UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi by saying that her math’s weak. Parliamentary Affairs Minister  Ananth Kumar said Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s “maths weak. Kumar said, “who says we don’t have the numbers”. He also said NDA definitely wins in the no-confidence motion as the BJP government has enough numbers to get the majority outside and inside the Parliament. This no-confidence motion will be held in Lok Sabha on Friday.

Ananth Kumar said Sonia Gandhi’s math is weak and her calculations are wrong. They had calculated similarly in 1996. But we all know what happened then. Again their calculations will become wrong. You will see how Modi will get support from all the sides, he added. He also quoted the Sonia Gandhi’s statement in 1999. She said they have the support of 272 members and more are coming. But what happened then, Atal Bihari Vajpayee the BJP government was defeated with the difference of one vote. Even though the Congress party could not form the government.

The Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) move the no-confidence motion on the BJP on Wednesday. The Congress party also seems confident about the no-confidence motion. They said they will win in this motion. She said we have enough number of support to win the no-confidence motion.

Kumar said definitely we defeat the Congress in the no-confidence motion. We are also getting the support from the Shiv Sena party. NDA is expecting the support of at least 312 members to defeat the Congress in the 535-member Lok Sabha. Alone BJP has 273. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan will conduct the voting on Friday.

The opposition is ready to throw the arrows on the government on the basis of issues like mob lynching, the safety of women, Jammu and Kashmir, the plight of farmers etc.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday strongly denies the assault over the BJP assault on social activist Swami Agnivesh. Rahul posted a pop quiz on Twitter. As we all know the BJP youth workers punched and kicked a social activist Swami Agnivesh on Yesterday. Swami Agnivesh a 79-year-old social activist work against bonded labour.

Rahul Gandhi asked the people to name the “perpetrator of hatred and fear.” who am I?  He wrote on the Twitter “I bow to the most powerful in the line. A person’s strength and power are all that are important to me.

He also wrote “I use hatred and fear to maintain the hierarchy of power. I seek out the weakest and crush them. I rank all living beings based on their usefulness to me. Who am I?” Many people have responded to Rahul’s quiz and some people criticised him and his party.

Not only the tweet Rahul also posted a new video of social activist Swami Agnivesh being attacked and assaulted by BJP Youth workers or Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Jharkhand’s Pakur. This is the second time Rahul slams the BJP. He also reacted to the allegation  “Congress is a Muslim party” he said Congress party stands with all “persecuted” people and “the last person in the line”. Their caste, religion or beliefs matters are little to me. He also added  I seek out those in pain and embrace them, I love all living beings and I am the Congress.

Yesterday Agnivesh blamed the  Chief Minister Raghubar Das’s administration for obtaining the tribal land by displacing them and giving it to corporates”. Later he was attacked. The police have registered the case under several IPC sections. But the BJP condemns and denies that attackers belonged to the BJP.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has become the first richest man in the modern History according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. His net worth crossed just crossed the $150 billion mark. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is the second richest man in the world with about $55 billion. Jeff Bezos has been the richest since at least 1982 that is the year when Forbes published its inaugural wealth ranking.

Over the past two years, Jeff net worth has double as the Amazon stocks have increased. Jeff crossed the  $150 billion mark as Amazon started its 36-hour summer sales event, Prime Day. On Monday Amazon share prices hit the $1,841.95. Before the trading closes it ends with the increase of 0.5% at  $1,822.49. So his wealth crossed the  $1,822.49. Only in this year, his net worth has soared by $52 billion.

Bill Gates was the richest person in the world before the Jeff became the richest person. Some people are not considering Jeff as the richest person in the world because Bill Gates already hit $100 billion in the year 1999. That worth would be more than $149 billion in today’s dollars. But Gates donated most of his worth to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Since 1996 he has been donating almost 700 million Microsoft shares and $2.9 billion of cash and other assets. Otherwise, Gates would be the richest of the Modern history.

Jeff net worth is more than the entire net worth of Mukesh Ambani. Ambani is the richest person in Asia. Bezos net worth is also more than the entire net worth of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. Chairman Jack Ma. The nations first billionaire John D. Rockefeller worth was  2 percent of the entire GDP of America at his peak in the early 1900s.
