Salman Khan: 5-Years imprisonment in Blackbuck case

One of the Bollywood Superstars Salman Khan was convicted by a Jodhpur trial court and the court sentenced him 5 years in prison in the case of Blackbuck poaching in 1998. Along with the imprisonment, the Jodhpur trial court asked Salman to pay fine Rs 10,000.

Salman Khan has killed two Blackbucks in 1998. Police have filed a case against Salman and he was convicted under the sections of  9 and 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. After two decades the court sentenced him to 5 years in jail. In 1998 when Salman was shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain he went for hunting along with his co-actors and killed two Blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur.

Other co-actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam were also present with Salman at that time. They were all acquitted. Blackbucks are Indian antelope is a kind of endangered species. Blackbucks are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act. Salman Khan’s lawyer Anand Desai said that ” We respect the decision of honourable Jodhpur court”.

Celebrities reaction to the verdict:

Actor Arjun Rampal said that he was disappointed with the Jodhpur court verdict “The law takes its course. Can’t argue it. But at this point in time I just feel helpless and my heart goes out to @BeingSalmanKhan and his family. Reason, cause the last thing @BeingSalmanKhan is, is a criminal.I feel this is too harsh. I do hope he gets the relief he deserves”.

Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan said she felt bad about the Verdict and she said he should be given relief, Salman has done a lot of humanitarian work.

Film Maker Subhash Ghai shared his reation through the platform of Twitter”I am extremely shocked to hear Salman Khan being convicted by session court but also having full trust in indian judiciary which has many other doors to appeal for final justice whatsoever. Since He is most loved person by industry N people for his human reasons too,”

On Wednesday speaking at the diaspora event in Central Hall Westminster he said “Pichle 20 saal se main daily 1kg-2kg gaali khaata hu”. He arrived the Central Hall Westminister to hold bilateral talks with the UK Prime Minister Theresa May.

In an Interactive session at the event called – ‘Bharat Ki Baat Sabke Saath’  took PM questions from the audience. This session hold for two hours. One of the audience posed a question to Modi about the secret of his stamina, that he has been eating 1-2 kgs of verbal Abuses for the last 20 years. After hearing this witty answer from Modi the whole audiences laughed and applauded Modi for his witty answer. Even Modi laughed.

Modi said Criticism is actually bringing out the truth. But unfortunately, people taking Criticism as an allegation. Later, Modi said I want this government should be criticised. Because Criticism makes the democracy strong.

PM Modi on Kathua rape case:

Prime Minister Modi at the ‘Bharat Ki Baat, Sabke Saath’ event at the iconic Central Hall Westminster in London said Rape is Rape and don’t be politicised it.PM breaks his silence on 8-year-old girl brutally raped by a gang in Kautha. Speaking on this issue he said don’t Politicise the rape incidents. He said, “We ask our daughters where they are going but we have to ask our boys about what they are doing and where they have been going”.

I have never been in counting how many rape incidents occurring in this government and in that government. Rape is  Rape. This is very painful.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi blamed Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi for the Cash Crunch across the country. The Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said the Cash Crunch across the country is because Modi has destroyed the Banking System.

Rahul Gandhi said At the time of Demonetisation PM Modi made us stand in a queue as Modi snatched Rs 500-1,000 notes from our pockets and put them in Nirav Modi’s pocket. Nirav Modi runs away with Rs 30,000 crore to abroad. But Prime Minister Modi did not take any action.

Rahul Gandhi said Modi’s government is responsible for the situation. People of various states including  Delhi, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar are facing a lot of problems due to the Cash Crunch with ATM’s working out of notes across the country.

Rahul said PM Modi’s government and their policies are not for the poor people of the country they are for the rich people of the country.

Earlier on this day the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley responded on the Cash Crunch situation in the country. Arun Jaitley said that the Cash Crunch problem is the temporary problem and it will be tackled soon. This Cash Crunch is caused due to the Sudden and Unusual increase in some areas Arun Jaitly said.

PM Modi in Sweden for the first India-Nordic summit

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi has arrived in Sweden at 9:30 p.m. (local time) on Monday.  Prime Minister Modi received by Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven on arrival in Stockholm the capital of Sweden. Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven broke his protocol to receive PM Modi at the airport.After Rajiv Gandhi PM Modi is the first Prime Minister visit Sweden from India in 30 years. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had visited Sweden in 1988.

PM Modi in Sweden to attend the first India-Nordic summit. He will meet the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Norway. Both Prime Ministers of India and Sweden will focus on bilateral agreements. Later Modi will attend the roundtable of Swedish CEO’s.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar wrote in his twitter “Scripting history! PM @narendramodi arrives in Stockholm on a first bilateral visit by an Indian PM in 30 years to a warm and personal welcome by @SwedishPM Stefan Lofven at the airport and to participate in the first ever India-Nordic Summit,”

Later Nordic Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi on April 17. Modi will go to the United Kingdom to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) on April 19-20. From Sweden Modi will travel to Britain to hold a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May on April 18.

Modi will stay four days in London and will meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace.PM Modi will give his speech from the iconic Central Hall Westminster near the UK Parliament. In this event, he will take the questions and it will be live telecasted.

Modi will return from Britain on April 20. While he returns from Britain he will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Mecca Masjid bomb blast: After 11 years Court verdict today

After 11 years A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Hyderabad will announce its verdict on Monday in the case of Mecca Masjid attack. The sensational Mecca Masjid attack happened during Friday prayers in 2007 on May 18. In the attack, nine persons were killed and 58 were injured. At the of blast nearly 10,000  10,000 people were present inside the masjid.

The attack took place at the iconic mosque, Mecca Masjid at Charminar due to the blast of  Improvised Explosive device (IED) bomb. The blast caused to the death of nine people and had left 58 injured. Later the Local police had found two live IED and later they defused the bombs. After the eleven years of the Mecca Masjid blast, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court is expected to give the verdict on the case.

Initially, the case investigated by the local police. Later the case took over by the Central  Bureau Of Investigation (CBI).CBI had filed a charge sheet regarding this case. In 2011 the case transferred from the Central  Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) to National Investigation Agency (NIA).

NIA had named 10 people as accused in this case and belonging to the right-wing organisations. Five out of ten accused men aarrested and faced trial in the case. The five accused men are Devendra Gupta, Lokesh Sharma, Swami Aseemanand alias Naba Kumar Sarkar, Bharat Mohanlal Rateshwar alias Bharat Bhai and Rajendra Chowdhary.

Total 226 witnesses have examined and as many as 411 documents exhibited. Swami Aseemanand and Bharat Mohanlal Rateshwar are out on bail. The other three are in prison.

The police have tightened the security in Hyderabad. The police have asked to tighten the security to maintain law and order in the city. One of the accused  Sunil Joshi died during the investigation. In Ajmer Dargah blast case Rajasthan court sentenced Gupta and others to life in jail in 2017.
