How to Buy Your Insurance Policy Online

No one would ever have thought that we can now buy all sorts of things on the internet, including health insurance policies.

KJ VanDerwerken, insurance agent and real estate investor extraordinaire tells how buying an insurance policy online has made things convenient, but settling on the first policy you see isn’t the wisest course of action.

Here’s a foolproof way on how you can use technology to your advantage when buying a health insurance policy.

Choose the Right Type

There are roughly two types of life insurance- term and whole life. Term life insurance is characterized by a set ‘term’, say 10 or 20 years, while whole life insurance will provide benefits until your death. Term is more affordable but each one will have its own advantages and disadvantages.

‘Term’ means you’re covered for the one you chose, e.g., 20 years while ‘whole life’ means you will be covered as long as you keep paying the monthly cost.

Do your research and find out which one is best for you. There should be more than enough articles on the internet to help you make the right decision.

Compare Features and Prices

Don’t settle for just a single company or package- you’ll have all the resources in the palm of your hand to choose the best package at the best price.

Take time to understand what each policy does and the coverage that it brings. Moreover, check and see if you can get additional features or inclusions that others don’t offer. The cheapest life policy isn’t necessarily the best, but neither is the most expensive one.

Signing up for an insurance policy can be done online. Once you’ve made up your mind, you can provide details and mention any pre-existing conditions, if there are any. Once approved, the policy will be sent via email, which you can print or keep in a flash drive for safety and security reasons.
